Boston Public Schools Cancelled Tomorrow in Snow Emergency. Boston Public Schools will be cancelled tomorrow as the city clears roadways after the City of Boston Snow Emergency today.

Main roadways in Boston are now in good condition, but many secondary roads still need to be cleared of snow. The strong winds and wet snow have caused fallen trees and down wires in some areas of the city. Temperatures dropping overnight can create icy road conditions. The Mayor has asked residents to be patient as crews continue the cleanup work and to leave their cars at home and use public transportation when traveling into the City tomorrow.

All non-school based city employees have been told to report to work tomorrow. Schools are closed to allow city crews enough time to clear all streets and sidewalks, particularly for students who walk to school and for school busses that must navigate some very narrow streets.
