National Society of High School Scholars. The National Society of High School Scholars [NSHSS] is a member-based student organization. Its mission is to recognize academic excellence among high school students and to encourage members to apply their unique talents, vision, and potential for the betterment of themselves and the world.

Designed to connect young scholars with each other and to additional resources to help them succeed in scholarship, leadership, and service, the NSHSS uses online forums and society events to keep its members connected.

NSHSS, was founded in 2002 by Claes Nobel to recognize high school students and offer scholarships and annual academic competitions.

Members normally pay a $60 membership fee, which can be waived, and must be a sophomore, junior, or senior in high school with at least a 3.75 cumulative GPA to join.

Strange of course, that no matter where you look on the net where people comment about the NSHSS, you will usually find several people who claim that it is a scam. Of course, that is not something that we can directly comment on other than to advise you that some people appear to have such an opinion.
