Ray Pittman rejoins CB Richard Ellis. Commercial real estate veteran Ray Pittman has been named senior managing director and market leader for CB Richard Ellis' Colorado business, bringing his career full circle.

Pittman, who spent 15 years of his early career with CBRE, will rejoin the company Monday.

He replaces Rick Calhoun, who stepped down Feb. 4 after 15 years with the company. In the interim, the office was run by Kevin McCabe, who has left CBRE and joined Newmark Knight Frank Frederick Ross as executive vice president of brokerage.

Most recently, Pittman was president and founder of Pittman Development Co. Inc., a development and investment firm that has been involved in some of the state's largest commercial and mixed-use projects, including High Point, an 1,800-acre mixed-use community being developed near Denver International Airport.

Other projects include the development of the three-building, 91,000-square-foot High Point OmniCenter project in Denver and the acquisition of the two-building Parker Plaza South project. He also had a development consulting assignment with Daytona Beach, Fla.-based International Speedway Corp. to develop a NASCAR speedway and stadium and related commercial projects near DIA.

Before starting Pittman Development Group, Pittman was Colorado's senior vice president and regional manager for Catellus Development Corp.

Pittman also has been actively involved in the community, serving as a past board chairman of the Aurora Economic Development Council and a member of Colorado Concern, a business leadership group representing Colorado business owners and CEOs.
