Under Armour High School Football Game 2011. Under Armour High School Football All-America Game Stars: Jeff Driskel, Quan Bray's Accent, Steve Mariucci. The 2011 Under Armour High School Football All-America Game [PHEW] ended with one team named after a color beating the other one, which means nothing to you, but did produce a number of standout performances and some big verbal commitments. Auburn landed a pair of four-star recruits in Quan Bray and Robenson Therezie, with Bray repeatedly exclaiming, “War Eagah, Baby!” in his extremely west Georgia accent.
Quarterback Jeff Driskel impressed with both his arm and legs — other players have taken to calling him Tim Tebow. He is in fact going to Florida, so the comparisons will continue. He had a chance at throwing two touchdowns to Oregon commit Devon Blackmon, but the receiver dropped the second. Later, Driskel ran a weaving touchdown run from near midfield (I DO NOT HAVE STATS).
Speaking of copycats, Auburn commit Kiehl Frazier took off on at least one run that called to mind a Cam Newton scramble. He’s nowhere near as immense as Newton, but did look like the kind of player that could find a place in an offense like Gus Malzahn’s.
Steve Mariucci coached one of these teams (MAY HAVE BEEN “RED”), while Mike Ditka coached the other. Mariucci was more interested and involved, getting worked up about punt coverage while Ditka turned over playcalling duties to Keyshawn Johnson.
