Skins MTV Show Most Dangerous Show for Our Children. “Skins” MTV show premiered Monday night, a remake of a British show. It has the Parents Television Council upset.
I’m wondering if they approve of any of the shows on MTV. But, with “Skins,” they have said “It is absolutely crucial that you be aware of the most dangerous program that has ever been foisted on your children!”
Considering the competition out there for inappropriate shows for our children, that’s a pretty big accusation. What is it about the show that we as parents would find objectionable?
Teens drinking, doing drugs, having sex, back-talking their parents. Different from most of the popular shows on MTV, “Skins” is a scripted show as opposed to a reality show.
My children are far too young to watch anything on MTV, but if you have teens, will you let them watch “Skins?” Did you? What did you think?
