Margaritaville Singer Jimmy Buffett Falls Off Stage. Margaritaville singer Jimmy Buffett was injured after falling off the stage at a concert in Sydney, Australia.
Buffett, 64, misjudged where the stage ended and fell onto a concrete floor during the concert. He was unconscious for at least ten minutes.
Buffett is expected to be released from the hospital within the next 24-hours.
"As you probably know, Jimmy had an accident while performing in Sydney last night and was taken to the hospital. The doctors said he is doing well and will be released tomorrow," said a statement.
Buffett has released over 30 albums and has been touring since the late 70s. His style is country folk mixed with island music, as demonstrated by hit songs "Margaritaville" and "Cheeseburger in Paradise."
