Malcolm Mitchell Commits to Georgia: 4-Star Wide Receiver Joins Jay Rome. Georgia received even more good news Thursday night as Malcolm Mitchell joined Valdosta High School teammate Jay Rome as a Georgia Bulldogs commitment.

Mitchell, like Rome, announced his decision in a live broadcast. Rome made his decision to go to Georgia known on ESPNU while Mitchell made his declaration on a local Valdosta, Georgia radio station.

Mitchell, of course, is a 4-star wide receiver. Ranked among the top 50 wide outs in the nation, he remained the top-ranked uncommitted wide receiver left on the board.

MItchell chose the Bulldogs over Alabama, matching his teammate Rome, the nation's top tight end.

Mitchell also received offers from four other SEC schools, turning down the chance to play at Clemson, too.

Mitchell, along with Rome, heads directly to the top of the 2011 recruiting class for the Bulldogs. The two ESPN150 players join athlete Damian Swann, quarterback Christian LeMay, and wide receivers Justin Scott-Wesley and Chris Conley on what is undoubtedly an impressive offensive recruiting class that will surely help the Bulldogs compete in the rugged SEC.
